POWERHOUSE ARTS - Fabrication and Art Education Space
Powerhouse Arts is a not-for-profit organization committed to creative expression. Housed in a purpose-built facility in Brooklyn, the organization is a spectacular venue for events in its majestic 22,500 sq ft Grand Hall, as well as the smaller Loft and Small Hall spaces. Powerhouse hosts an extended network of art and fabrication professionals and educators who work together to co-create and share artistic practices vital to the wellbeing of artists and the communities to which they belong. Anyone can become a member of the ceramics studio to participate in pottery classes and more, local artists can rent kilns and welding equipment, and have access to the print shop and woodworking center. The talented makers involved in the Powerhouse public arts department handle all manner of fabrication for city-wide projects large and small, including museum installations and film/TV studio set design.
