LAURA ISRAEL - Independent Filmmaker

Laura Israel, Filmmaker, Director, Producer, Editor.

Film producer and director Laura Israel is the founder of the film production company, Assemblage.  For over 25 years, Israel was the editor for iconic American photographer Robert Frank (best known for the classic, The Americans). Her documentary film, Don't Blink - Robert Frank, is an American classic in its own right.

Laura and her team created the MOMA exhibition, Robert Frank's Scrapbook Footage, a multi-projector film installation encompassing two floors of the MOMA Titus galleries. And a new film based on this previously unseen footage is in development.

Israel also produced and directed Windfall, the critically acclaimed documentary feature film that exposed financial scams associated with wind energy development in an upstate New York community.
