Film producer and director Laura Israel is the founder of the film production company, Assemblage. For over 25 years, Israel has been the editor for iconic American photographer Robert Frank (best known for the classic, The Americans). Her documentary film, Don't Blink - Robert Frank, premiered at the New York Film Festival in 2015.

Israel's critically acclaimed Windfall is a documentary exposing the potential financial scams associated with wind energy development. Windfall obtained theatrical distribution in 2012 has been featured in a number of international film festivals, including Toronto Film Festival, and winner of the Grand Prize at DOC NYC.
